Is Tribalism Enough?

All the rhetoric, actions and divisive comments coming from both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) have not disappointed me more than Ghanaians inability to unreservedly condemn and go on demonstration against the prevalent culture of tribalism and nepotism in our society.
What did we expect from both parties? Political parties built on tribalism cannot exhibit any characteristics other than what they are built on.
A little background check on both the NDC and NPP will indicate that these parties originated from violence, and enjoy their support base by raising unfounded tribal fears and prejudices by pitting tribe against tribe, rather than trumpeting the virtues of a unified stable country, with all tribes living together in peace and harmony.
The irony of this tribal politics is that the NPP is often quick to accuse the NDC of inciting one tribe against the other, whilst the NDC will often return the compliment. Have these two parties paused and reflected on what the Ghanaians think of them?
Another mystifying aspect of this is that each election year, Ghanaians continue to vote for these two parties. Previously, the excuse was that the CPP was divided and not organised. Now that the CPP is organised and has refined itself, are the genuine Ghanaians who do not believe in tribal politics vote for the CPP?
We need to be forceful in our language and tell both the NPP and NDC that they are both tribalistic parties, and they must be made to understand that extremists and fanatics do not build a nation, but nationalism and patriotism do, and the CPP represents these attributes.
Unless Ghanaians put their tribal affiliations aside and vote for the CPP, which represents the only viable and credible alternative, this tribal politics will not stop, and would inevitably lead to the potential disintegration of our dear country.
Given the recent happenings in Ghana, I wonder what the international and African communities think of us. One may ask? Is the black man capable of managing his own affairs with these barbaric and tribalistic comments coming from MP Kennedy Agyapong and Nii Lante Vanderpuye, and both parties encouraging the tension by siding with their disgraced men? Any serious nation would have sacked these two men.
If we are killing each other over a mere registration process, what will happen come December, when the issue will be the casting and counting of votes? A fragment of these tensions is about oil. These two political parties want their hands on the oil revenue to squander, period! In the course of this, they are prepared to sacrifice Ghanaian blood to feed bigotry parties.
We MUST remind both the NPP/NDC to take a quick look at recent events in oil-producing countries to learn a few lessons. If the prophets of doom and the extremists have their way, come December this year, it should not surprise anyone when we learn that our oil-fields have been taken over by the IMPERIALIST armed forces, ostensibly here to keep the peace, but actually to ensure our oil reaches their countries while we are busy killing each other.
Ivory Coast and Libya readily come to mind. History has a nasty habit of repeating itself. Given this weak and incompetent President, I will not be surprised if he waits for the situation to deteriorate, and wait for the NPP to ask for external assistance. This is not beyond the NPP.
We must stop this tribal politics and speak with patriotic force by voting for the CPP. We must put away our unfounded fears and prejudices, and vote massively for the CPP, the party that instinctively and consistently represents the very best of all our national aspirations.
We have a duty to protect Ghana from the NDC/NPP nonsense. Above all, we have the sacred duty, regardless of our tribal origins, to safeguard our distinctive and noble national identity.
We are Ghanaians, and tribalism is not enough to develop Ghana.

NDCs ARE AFTER KEN AGYAPONG BECAUSE OF WOYOMEGATE!!!
Subject: RE: WOYOME GHC52M FRAUD: PETITION COMPELS PROSECUTOR
Author: Obeng Rago (93.186.22.244)

I have to sign this important petition due to the following reasons:
1. That this NDC Govt has paid 6300000000000.00 Cedis as judgment debts, 510000000000 is with Woyome, thanks to the perseverance of Ken Agyapong, who will pay for it by being sent to ICC by NDC hoodlums in Government, for revealing to Ghanaians the source of fraudulent state monies used to build NDC headquarters at Adabraka!!!!! Yet, these are the same politicians who dealt with criminal cases in their kangaroo courts called Public Tribunals in record time and jailed many!
2. Woyome is sued by the State in High and Fast Track Court by Amidu, who was sacked for doing so and replaced by a slow coach Attorney General kumbuor, who has no prosecutors to do the case with some arrested and others appointed as ministers nor is he willing to expose his party furthermore……
3. Deputy Attorney General Barton Oduro of Swedru claims it is a bad case; His Superior, Martin Amidu says it’s rather a gargantuan crime. All under the Supervision of President Atta Mills, Professor of Law! And the Chief Justice can not bother to streamline the case for fear of reprisals by P/NDC loud mouthed goons.
4. Former Attorney General Bet Mouldy Iddrissu has refused to talk to PAC because her lawyer Nana Ato Dadzie says so; and only went for a chat with Police and EOCO in the company of her husband Iddrissu Mahama, of PNDC fame and still a Member of Council of State and a friend of Kojo Murderer Tsikata, the present chief of National Security and an accomplice of Woyome, the thief!
5. The WOYOME case is investigated by EOCO and Police CID: The case is arraigned before Circuit High and Appeal Court by both protagonists and antagonists; One same case is being investigated whiles its on Court Trial; An Investigation Committee has submitted its report but carrying on investigating NPP Politicians who were not in power when the ‘bofun’ was being paid….
6. David Annan is in Court for contempt against critics of the thief whiles Volta Chiefs are free to praise the same thief. And so like the case of Asiedu Nketia’s Bui Dam Block making fraud, no one can talk about it because they are in PNDC Govt!
7 How many Judges, Attorney Generals, Lawyers, Prosecutors, Investigators, Politicians and Journalists are involved in this Woyomegate? Judge Tank, Ackah Yensu, Charles Quist, Amidu, Oduro duro, Kumbuor, Ato Dadzie Senanu, Segbefia, Kpegah, Ato Dadzie, OB Amoah, Osaafo Maafo, Mouldy Iddrissu, the worst lawyer in Ghana David Annan, kumbuor, Rex Wiredu, Gyambiby – all in a case of a Financier of NDC, whose mantra of Probity and Accountability is sewn into the blood veins of their Party Founder!
8. What about the rest of the judgment Debts? Cecilia Johnson, Tarriconi, CP or Carl Ploetner, Kwame Pianim, Akwamu NDC MP, Mrs Naadu Mills and the unknown foot soldier. If the govt cannot deal with one case, how can they deal with Cecilia Johnson’s?
9. One WOYOME case. Rawlings is talking about it; President Atta Mills is only interested in how the debts were incurred; Kuffuor wonders how a broke country can dole out so much money to one man and his dog; as for Nana Akuffo Addo he asks – “Na Sika no wo hen? A Methodist Bishop wants the money back….Only P/NDC politicians and Volta Chiefs support Woyome: But Horace Ankrah is quiet about it!
10. This one easy case has turned into a circus freak show and heading for the White House by the kind act of Lady Akosua!
Party of Noise Disturbance Confusion (P/NDC) is finally exposed for what they really are: Thieves and Murderers.
“A little background check on both the NDC and NPP will indicate that these parties originated from violence..”
I know the violent history of NDC; at least the murder of the three judges are still fresh in our minds. But I am not aware of any violent history of NPP and perhaps Kwame Nkrumah Agyapong can educate me on this with facts and not the usual manufactured lies Nkrumah’s CPP told about J B Dankwa and co.
The CPP elements should spare us all these rubbish! We know their record when they were in govt under Nkrumah. CPP institutionalised corruption in Ghana. Ghanaians thought they had freed themselves from the white colonial masters only to be enslaved by our own black people under Nkrumah. Nkrumah’s ministers helped themselves to ill-gotten riches at the expense of the state under the nose of the so-called Messiah Nkrumah, and he did nothing to rein in and punish his offending ministers.
