The Ebom/Bomfa community in the Afigya Kwabre District of the Ashanti Region now has a substantive Chief in the person of Nana Kwaku Twumasi.

The community has had no chief for the past 38 years.

Nana Twumasi has since initiated a number of projects to give the community a new look and to improve the standard of living of the residents.

Kyeame Yaw Achampong explained at a press conference that Nana Twumasi had prepared a new layout for the community to help avoid land litigations and to ensure that the District Assembly issues proper documents for allocation to prospective developers .

He stated that barely two years after Nana Twumasi was enstooled he had provided the community with toilet facilities, potable water, and demarcated the lands at the new site.

The Chief has also constructed roads and erected low tension electricity poles from the community to the newly-demarcated lands to hasten development.

Kyeame Yaw Achampong further revealed that the chief has provided furniture for the Primary and Junior High School, as well as provided loans to over 700 market women at no interest to expand their businesses.

He warned some individuals who were standing in the way of the chief to develop the community.

According to him, some individuals were frustrating the Chief because they can no longer enrich themselves by selling lands as was the case previously when there was no chief.

The stool elders have commended Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, for giving them a visionary leader, progressive and a development-oriented chief, who has brought proper development to the community within a brief spell of time.
