The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asuogyaman Constituency, Thomas Ampem Nyarko, has assured his constituents of his readiness and commitment to ensure that development is brought to their doorsteps.
Chief among his development agenda are education and youth development..
The MP disclosed this during a short ceremony to donate an amount of GH¢10,000 and bags of cement towards the completion of a three-unit Junior High School (JHS) classroom block, which is under construction.
The gesture was in fulfilment of promises made to the Adomi community during the 2016 parliamentary campaign, to stimulate efforts towards the successful completion of various uncompleted projects.
The construction of the three-unit classroom block was started in 2016 under a community self-help initiative project, with support from the Asuogyaman District Assembly Common Fund. One out of the three rooms was completed and is being used by JHS 1 students.
However, support from the District Assembly for the completion of the remaining two rooms came to a halt in 2017, when Samuel Kwame Agyekum took over office as DCE under the the presnt government.
During the presentation, Mr. Ampem asserted that the completion of various projects within the communities would help actualise his vision of transforming the Asuogyaman Constituency.
Thomas Ampem Nyarko charged the Headmaster and Parent Teachers Association (PTA) to, as a matter of urgency, work around the clock, so that construction comes to a considerable stage for occupation before school resumes in September, this year.
