The Member of Parliament (MP) Sunyani East and Majority Chief Whip, Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, has handed over a 4-bedroom nurses’ quarters for Atronie in the Sunyani East Constituency.
The quarters, which has toilets, bath, kitchen and a porch, has brought joy to health staff who had to commute from Sunyani to Atronie daily.
Following the gesture by the MP, the chiefs and people of Atronie honoured him with the title: ‘Oseadeeyo’ to wit, he says and does it.
According to the Nifahene of Atronie, the MP had shown that he has the people of Atronie at heart, and that they will continue to support him and the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to fulfill all the promises he has made to them.
Mr Ameyaw-Cheremeh also cut sod for the extension of electricity to 16 communities in his constituency.
The electrification project is expected to impact positively on the socio-economic development of households by generating employment, improving local development, and reducing poverty.
The rural electrification project, which is being carried out by Washdan Company Limited, is to benefit communities such as Kyeremekrom, Apaaso, Sofokrom, Korasua No.1, Korasua No.2, Kyiribogya, Odaga, Benue Nkwanta, Kwasi Mfum, Brosakro, Johnsonkrom, Forkuo, Gyan Kwadwo, Ohukrom, Sawuam, and several other communities.
Nana Kwame Yeboah, Adontenhene for Benue Nkwanta, and Nana Opoku Mensah, Chief of Ohukrom, together with other chiefs in the beneficiary communities, expressed their satisfaction over the electricity project.
