Mancheser City star Raheem Sterling is considering a groundbreaking £100million personal endorsement deal to wear AirJordan football boots.
The 24-year-old is in the final year of his current deal with Nike, but the Telegraph have reported that AirJordan, a subsidiary owned by the American sportswear company, want him to be the face of one of the most lucrative boot deals in history.
AirJordan, which launched back in 1984 in collaboration with NBA star Michael Jordan, has previously been synonymous with endorsing high-profile basketball players and some Major League Baseball stars.
But last season they made their first foray into the football market with a collaboration with PSG which saw them manufacture their kits as well as 90 different lifestyle and performance products. They now want to repeat that success by marketing football boots for the first time.
Sterling is hot property having become a prominent sporting and social figure over the past 12 months.
Sterling currently has endorsement deals with Microsoft and EA Sports and is believed to be a target for the fashion brand H&M as well as Gillette.
