The Atibie Ayokuor Kuntanse Royal Family, at a press conference held over the weekend at Atibie, has warned the general public to desist from doing any business with Barimah Kwame Asante Betiani, the allegedly self-imposed chief of Atibie.
Speaking at the press conference, the Spokesperson for the Oyokuor Kuntanse Royal Family, Opanin Charles Oduro, disclosed that the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs had upheld that Barimah Kwame Asante Betiani should not hold himself as a chief until the final determination of the case relating to the charges brought against him by the Ayokuor Kuntanse Royal family.
According to him, the family was highly surprised that following the directives from the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, Barimah Kwame Asante Betiani recently held a press conference to announce that the chieftaincy dispute in the area had been resolved.
The Ayokour Kuntanse Royal Family Spokesperson continued that Barimah Kwame Asante Betiani used the opportunity to call on investors to come to the area to invest.
Now the Atibie Oyokuor Kontanase Family wants the general public to be aware that there is still no chief at Kwahu Atibie, and for that matter, no one should transact any form of business with Barimah Kwame Asante Betiani.
The Ayokuor Kuntanse Family of Kwahu Atibie is also announcing to the general public that the information being circulated by the chief is false, and should not make any attempt at transacting any business with Barimah Kwame Asante Betiani.
All efforts to reach Barimah Kwame Asante Betiani on the matter proved unsuccessful, as he did not pick up any of the calls put through to his cell phone.
Later when he picked the call, he scheduled a meeting, but has since not honoured it.
