The Member of Parliament (MP) for Suame, Mr. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the Suame Municipal Chief Executive, Dr. Osei Bobie Boahen, have jointly cut the sod for the commencement of a two-storey court building at Breman to serve the municipality.
The project consists of two Alternative Dispute Resolutions (ADR) offices, judge’s chamber, cashier’s office, secretary’s office, docket room, and washrooms.
According to the MP, who is also the Majority Leader in Parliament, the gesture is to help fast track the justice system within the municipality and surrounding communities.
He noted that justice is key to peace and stability, saying, without the rule of law in our justice system, democracy would not impact on governance.
Dr. Osei Bobie Boahen, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), disclosed that the project is being funded from the District Assembly’s Common Fund at the cost of GH¢889,600, and is scheduled to be completed within six months.
He commended management, staff and members of the Assembly for their immense contributions to making the project possible.
Nana Baffuor Kutin Hyiaman II, Bremanhene, commended the Assembly and MP for the collaboration to make project possible.
He also lauded members of the Assembly for their continued support for the assembly to improve the lives of the people.
