The chiefs and people of Kyebi in the Abuakwa South area of the Eastern Region, on Monday, installed Nana Marfo Ofori Atta as the Chief of the town, under the Abuakwa Traditional Council.
Nana Marfo Ofori Atta, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Able Export and Import Company Limited (AEICL) and a security consultant, was installed with the stool name Osabarima Marfo Kwabrani.
The colourful event took place on the premises of the Ofori Panin Fie in Kyebi.
The Kyebi seat has remained vacant following the demise of the then Chief, Osaberima Boakye Kyeretwie Dankwah, on October 31, 2018.
After the installation, the newly installed Abontendomhene promised to instill discipline among the youth and transform their lives.
He then urged them to unite and support his leadership, so as to be able to unearth the potentials and talents in the area.
Other chiefs enstooled at the durbar include Nana Akosua Saa Bayeman, Dwantoahene, with Nana Fredua Agyemang Okutuni being elevated from his position as the Asomkaahene to Kyidom Panin of the Akyem Abuakwah Traditional Area.
The newly-installed chiefs, after swearing the oath of allegiance to the Okyenhene, Osagyefo Nana Amoatia Ofori Panin, promised to provide support whenever the need arises.
At the event, the American Ambassador to Ghana, Her Excellency Stephany Sullivan, expressed her pleasure in taking part in the joyous occasion.
