With pre-season getting underway, the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 clubs are all preparing and completing deals as the new season slowly draws near.

 

Marko Arnautovic in £23m move to Shanghai SIPG

Marko Arnautovic has touched down in China following his move from West Ham to Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG.

The Austrian’s acrimonious exit from the Londoners was confirmed on Monday in a 45-word statement on the Hammers’ website after he signed for a cut-price £23million.

And his new club welcomed him at the airport on Wednesday as fans clamoured to get a glimpse of their new signing.

‘Marko Arnautovic arrives at the Shanghai Pudong Airport,’ Shanghai SIPG wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of him arriving. ‘Warm welcome from the SIPG fans.’

 

Higuain returns to Juve for pre-season medical

Gonzalo Higuain has checked in for his pre-season medical with Juventus and was given a warm reception by supporters.

A number of supporters had also waited to welcome the 31-year-old back. They chanted: ‘Stay with us, Gonzalo’, as he made his way into the club’s facility and was directed where to go.

Higuain spent last season on loan at AC Milan and then Chelsea as Maurizio Sarri brought him to Stamford Bridge.

The veteran striker has a strong relationship with Sarri from their time at Napoli and he has been included in the first training squad, announced on Tuesday.

 

Nottingham Forest confirm free transfer of Albert Adomah

Nottingham Forest have signed winger Albert Adomah on a two-year deal.

Adomah, 31, was released by Aston Villa at the end of last season following their promotion to the Premier League.

‘Nottingham Forest are delighted to announce the signing of winger Albert Adomah,’ Forest announced on their official website.

‘The 31-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the club and joins Sabri Lamouchi’s squad ahead of the pre-season trip to Greece later this week.’
