Ayew set for permanent Palace move

botchway July 11, 2019

Crystal Palae are on the verge of signing Swansea striker Jordan Ayew on a permanent deal, according to Sky Sports.

The Ghana international spent last season on loan at Selhurst Park and will complete a medical upon his return from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ayew scored twice in 25 Premier League appearances for Palace last season.

West Ham offered Balotelli for free

West Ham have been offered the chance to sign free agent Mario Balotelli, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 28-year-old striker is a free agent after his contract expired at French side Marseille at the end of the season.

The Hammers are considering their options after missing out on landing Maxi Gomez in a club record £45million deal. Following days of talks West Ham are ready to concede defeat in their bid to pull off a late swoop.

Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno joins Villarreal

Former Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno has agreed to join Spanish side Villarreal on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old left back will sign a five-year contract with Villarreal on Wednesday.

Moreno, who has been capped four times by Spain, was a free agent after his contract expired at Anfield.

A statement on the club’s official website said: ‘Villarreal have reached an agreement with Alberto Moreno for him to be a Yellows player for the next five seasons.

‘With just his contract to be signed, the defender from Seville arrives at the Estadio de la Cerámica as a free agent, after completing his contract with Liverpool in June.’

The 27-year-old posted an emotional farewell on social media.

He said: ‘Life goes in cycles, and mine at my beloved Liverpool FC has drawn to an end.”

Everton weigh up move for Fabian Delph

Everton are considering making an attempt to sign Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph.

The Englishman is open to the idea of leaving the Premier League champions following the club-record signing of midfielder Rodri from Atletico Madrid.

His already limited first team opportunities are likely to be further impacted by the return of left-back Angelino from PSV Eindhoven, Delph having often been used in the role.

Delph’s willingness to leave has put a number of top flight clubs on alert with the Toffees among them, according to The Guardian.

Everton manager Marco Silva doesn’t need cover at left back with Leighton Baines and Lucas Digne on the books but he could certainly do with more depth in midfielder.

Arsenal turn to Malcom after missing Zaha

Arsenal could hijack Everton’s £31.5million move for Barcelona winger Malcom, according to The Sun.

The Toffees are ready to make a fresh bid to sign the Brazilian after missing out in the January transfer window,

Malcom wanted to stay at the Nou Camp and fight for a regular place in Ernesto Valverde’s first team.

But his bid to impress Valverde failed and Malcom finished the season having started just six La Liga games.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has identified the player as an alternative to top target Wilfried Zaha.

Emery has all but given up on landing Zaha after his £40m bid — which is half what want — was rejected.

Lemina aiming to push through Man Utd transfer

Manchester United and Arsenal target Mario Lemina wants to stay in England and move to a ‘big club’ and posted a video advertising his skills.

The Southampton midfielder has made clear his intention to leave St Mary’s having signed for £18million from Juventus two years ago.

And he took to Twitter, writing: ‘I KNOW WHAT I CAN REACH AND I WILL FIGHT FOR IT,’ above a video of his highlights reel.

It showed a number of dribbles, passes and a couple of his goals and the entire 2:19min clip was sped up.

Clearly Lemina is desperate for a move away and wants to prove himself among the elite.
