Police are going through the process for the exhumation of Madam Patience Aku Hushie whose mortal remains was buried secretly behind her house at Atadeka near Ashaiman.
The 70-year old woman was allegedly killed by her grandson, Shadrach Hushie , an ex-convict and drug addict after she failed to connive with him when he was nabbed for a crime.
The Chronicle gathers that police from Atadeka who are investigating the case have filed a motion at the Ashaiman district court for an order to be given for the body to be exhumed.
Meanwhile a team from the Environmental Health Unit of the Kpone Katamanso Municipal Assembly is standing by for the operation to ensure that all environmental issues are taken care of.
The body, an official of the environment team hinted that, looking at the period spent in the shallow grave, roughly 28 days, is expected to be in advance stage of decomposition.
As such, the place would need to be fumigated before and after the exhumation.
Stay tuned as the Chronicle brings you up to speed occurrences from the scene.
