Midweek Special Competition fixtures – Hearts, Karela in top of the table clash …as Kotoko host Eleven Wonders

botchway May 15, 2019

There will be fireworks at all venues of Match-day 12 of the Normalisation Committee Special Competition. Last weekend’s action delivered 12 goals in seven games which saw Medeama SC top Group A and Hearts of Oak leapfrogging Karela United to take charge of Group B.

Hearts of Oak vs Karela United

The top of the pick is the game between Accra Hearts of Oak and Karela United at the Accra Sports Stadium. The Phobians have been on the ascendency and displaying some luscious football to the admiration of all. Their last victory away to Ebusua Dwarfs in Cape Coast speaks volumes of their recent supremacy. Karela United on the other hand have also been dominant at home but have been poor away performers. Hearts should be able to earn the three points but it won’t be without a fight.

Ashanti Gold vs Aduana Stars

Ashanti Gold are still basking in their 1-0 victory against Asante Kotoko as they welcome in-form Aduana Stars to the Obuasi Len Clay stadium. Aduana Stars will be no mince meat coming from a similar win against Berekum Chelsea at their fortress at the Agyeman Badu Stadium. Both teams are a whisker away from the top of the league and will want to win at all cost. However, home advantage will favour Ashanti Gold who have a slight edge.

Asante Kotoko vs Eleven Wonders

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have an opportunity to claw back some points as they aim at challenging for group leaders in the Normalisation Committee Special Competition today at the Baba Yara stadium against Eleven Wonders. The Porcupine Warriors lost to Ashanti Gold in match-day 11 in a tournament that has seen them being poor away performers. Will Eleven Wonders be the sacrificial lamb at the Baba Yara stadium or Kotoko will shoot themselves in the foot again?
