275 ambulances coming in July

The Minister of  Special Development Initiative, Mavis Hawa Koomson has announced that each constituency in the country would receive an ambulance each by July, this year.

It follows the approval of the government to acquire 275 ambulances for the constituencies in the country.

Dr. Baffuor  Awuah, who deputised for the  Minister at the 15th anniversary of the  establishment of the KNUST Law Faculty in Kumasi yesterday, said this intervention is besides the provision of 1,200 boreholes and 1,000 institutional toilets, 500 small dams and 51 warehouses at various places by the Ministry.

The Minister said her sector would support infrastructural development at institutions from the US$1 million allocation to constituencies.

She admonished  the Law Faculty to ensure that lands for developmental projects are legally  acquired to promote private sector  participation in national development, particularly in rural areas.
