Ahmed Hussein-Suale, a key member of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye Private Investigations team, has been shot dead.
Ahmed, an undercover journalist was last Wednesday night, at Madina, a suburb of Accra, shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck, while driving home, by unidentified men riding motorbike.
Anas posted on his Facebook wall to confirm the sad development and loss of a core team member and a brother, with a hash tag, “Journalism is not a crime,” “We shall not be silenced,” “Say no to corruption.”
Reports indicate that the deceased was just shot and killed, nothing was taken from him.
The body has been taken to the Police Hospital Morgue and could be buried as soon as possible in line with Islamic rites.
In his quest to let the public know who Anas Aremeyaw Anas was, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyepong, displayed on live television, the image of the deceased, Ahmed, an investigative journalist, and others in his ‘Who watches the watchman anti-Anas documentary.
Mr Agyepong in a video below openly asked that whenever Ahmed came to the premises of Kencity media he should be beaten and that he would pay any amount as a result.
