MTN Ghana has presented 30 hampers to born babies on Christmas Day at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Ejisu government hospitals.
Mr. Stephen Asare, MTN Momo Implementation Manager Northern sector, at the presentation, explained that the gesture was a routine exercise which comes off annually on Christmas Day to put a smile on the faces of them and their mothers on the day.
He said the initiative, and other incentives of MTN setup as their corporate social responsibilities to make their customers lives brighter, and for that matter, the gesture was a Christmas gift for the beneficiary babies and their mothers.
He disclosed that they were able to reach their target, in the exercise which covered Bolgatanga, Tarkwa, Ho, Koforidua and Accra.
Ernestina Sarfo, Midwifery Officer at the Ejisu Government Hospital, commended the management of MTN for putting smiles on the faces of the mothers as they came from labour, and pleaded that is not made a nine-day wonder, and keep up the good work to improve the lives of humanity.
Mrs. Rita Darko, one of the mothers who benefitted, also expressed her profound gratitude to MTN for the kind gesture, which she had experienced for the first time in her life as a mother in a maternity ward, and encouraged MTN to keep the good work to enable them win more customers.
