The Electoral Commission (EC) has restored its original logo, according to a memo sighted by The Chronicle.
Signed by Jean Mensa, chair person of the EC and dated Tuesday, December 4, 2018, the memo indicates further that the new logo on properties of the EC should be removed and replaced with the original one.
The memo described the original logo as having the Coat of Arms and a Ballot Box showing a hand casting a vote.
“The core values of the Electoral Commission; namely Integrity, Fairness and Accountability have from today also been restored,” it added.
It will be recalled that the embattled EC boss, changed the logo of the Commission ahead of the 2016 general election, a move which triggered controversy in political circles.
In defence of the new logo, Charlotte Osei famously said: “We saw it, we loved it, we chose it”.
