The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Prestea Hunni-Valley, Mozart Kwaku Owuh, has pledged to adopt the Damang Goldfields Cleanest Community Competition to be implemented in all communities in the district.
To that end, a paper would be laid in the House at its next general meeting to make it binding for the project to be implemented in all communities in the district.
Speaking as Guest of Honor at the Goldfields 3C Project, Mr. Owoo said everything about the 3C project was awesome and needed to be adopted in all the communities within the district.
To him, he was not surprised Damang GGL had introduced the 3C project.
This is because in everything that has to do with the health of it communities, Goldfields Damnaghas been outstanding. “Damang GGL is the pacesetter in community development. First among equals,” he said.
DCE Mozart Owoo told the gathering that sanitation was a way of life expressed in the way people, neighbourhoods and communities lived.
Sanitation is not just sweeping our houses. It has extended to our neighbourhoods, businesses and communities.
To that end, sanitation was not the sole responsibility of district assemblies, but everybody. “If we can all agree to do away with filth, then we can confidently say goodbye to diseases.”
