UK’s Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, have arrived in Nigeria on the third leg of their West African tour.
The couple arrived in Abuja on Tuesday and was welcomed with a military parade at the airport. Prince Charles inspected the guard of honour.
The couple started their tour in The Gambia, stopped over in Ghana, before heading to Nigeria.
The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Paul Arkwright, announced that Prince Charles would engage in peace-building activities, including addressing the persistent attacks of herdsmen on farming communities in Nigeria.
The royals would also have audience with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa.
