The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Jaman North, Mr. Adane Ankomah, has commissioned a 20-seater Kumasi Ventilated Improved Pit (KVIP) and a borehole facility for the Kokoa District.
Nananom (chiefs) of Kokoa, led by Nana Kwadwo Masah, Chief of the community, who doubles as the Acting President of the Sampa Traditional Council, congratulated the DCE and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for the provision of the facilities.
Nana Masah said the community, over the past years, had suffered to get such facilities, and assured the DCE and the assembly that the people would put them to good use.
He mentioned the completion of a maternity block, provision of 40 bags of cement for the construction of the chief’s palace, reshaping of roads in the community, provision of street lights, mechanisation of boreholes, as well as the construction of the 20-seater KVIP and others as some of the projects the assembly had undertaken to enhance the lives of the people
Nana Masah, however, appealed to the DCE and the assembly to help the community with a kindergarten school block, the establishment of a teacher training college, construction of access roads with gutters in the community, and education on the payment of property rates in the community and its environs.
The DCE urged the people to continue to support the government for accelerated development
