St. Peter’s Co-operative Credit Union has donated food items and provisions worth GH¢3,000 to Missionaries of Charity Sisters (New Life Home) at Mbrom, a suburb of Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region.
The items included two boxes of chicken, two boxes of tinned tomatoes, two boxes of Geisha mackerel, one box of parazone, one box of Detol (detergent), three bags of tom brown, ten packets of adults diapers, one box of Nana (baby food), two boxes of Num milk, and two boxes of Milo.
Mr. Emmanuel Amoah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Union, said the gesture formed part of the union’s 50th Anniversary celebration, which was observed under the theme: “SPECCU at 50, ahead in member Inclusive Financial Solutions.”
Some of the management and members of the Anniversary Committee who visited the Home for the presentation included Mr. John Owusu, Mr. Samuel Boakye Ansah, Mr. Joseph Peprah, and Mr. Emmanuel Amoah, Chairman of the Planning Committee, Secretary, Member and Chief Executive Officer respectively.
Sister, Julian, Administrator of the home, who received the items expressed her profound gratitude to the Credit Union for the kind gesture, and gave the assurance that the inmates would continue to pray for their benefactors to encourage them to do more for society.
