Lucas Digne insists he ‘could not be more excited’ after completing his £18million move from Barcelona to Everton.
The former Paris Saint-Germain left back missed out on selection for Didier Deschamps World Cup-winning France side this summer, despite the experience he possesses from playing for some of Europe’s most illustrious clubs.
Having also pulled on the shirt for Roma, he believes in Everton he has found yet another home with a rich tradition.
‘Everton is a big club with a great history. I want to play games, win games and excite the fans with the quality of our football,’ Digne told Everton TV.
‘I played good football in Rome and I played well, too, in Barcelona. I progressed a lot as a player and as a person by playing with the best players in the world.
‘I want to show my best football here and discover the best league in the world. Everybody loves the Premier League. I am loving the fact I am coming here.’
