The Asadu Royal Group of Companies has refurbished the Asante Akyem North District Magistrate Court building. Dr. Edward Asadu, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company and former Ashanti Region Best Farmer in crops and poultry production, said the gesture to give the court a facelift was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to improve sanitation in Agogo and its surroundings communities to enhance environmental cleanliness.
He indicated that the government alone cannot afford the socio-economic growth of the country, hence the need for individuals and corporate bodies to partner it to improve the standard of living of the people.
Dr. Asadu said his outfit would not relent in its efforts to ensure environmental cleanliness, and pledged to continue the exercise on a monthly basis, while urging Ghanaians to step up the spirit of communalism to help improve their lot, instead of relying on the government for survival.
The CEO appealed to the government to reduce taxes and value added tax (VAT) on imports to motivate individuals and corporate organisations to perform better.
He also entreated the government and the various Metropolitans, Municipal and District Assemblies to prioritise the creation of dumping sites to ensure that they are available for dumping when refuse is evacuated.
