The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nkoranza South, Madam Diana Attaa Kusiwaa, has assured beneficiaries of the Planting for Food and Jobs under the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in the Municipality of regular payment of their salaries.
She gave the assurance when the YEA beneficiaries received their first monthly salary under the scheme.
Madam Attaa Kusiwaa visited the cashew nursery site at Akropong and appreciated the good work, and advised those in charge to be serious with their work to enable the municipality achieve its quest of boosting cashew production in the area
“If we continue to attach seriousness to our work, we would boost cashew production in the municipality and reduce poverty,” she said. According to the MCE, the government is ready to help the municipality in achieving this goal, as it has done to cocoa production.
The Municipal Director of Agriculture, Mr. Amenga Dennis Abugri, expressed appreciation for the commitment showed by the government to agriculture, and advised the beneficiaries to do well with cashew production.
