Born and bred in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, Jacqueline Asamoah is one fine young actress who is making almost everybody in the movie industry very proud, though she disclosed she almost gave up on acting sometime ago until her passion was rekindled.
As young as she is, her passion has kept her in the movie industry for over 3 years now and she is determined to make it huge locally and internationally with her craft. According to her, she has been disappointed after attending over twenty auditions in Accra and Kumasi, until she succeeded and since then she has not relented.
“Being a lady in the movie industry is extremely difficult but it takes the determination to sail through without entertaining some hindrances,” she confessed. She further said: “I have been in the industry for almost 4 years. I almost gave up for two years until my a few friends encouraged me to keep going.”
Her enthusiasm and zeal brought her back after giving up for two years, when she thought she wasn’t given the opportunity.
The talented and outspoken actress prayed until a production house based in Accra contacted her for her first major movie titled ‘LOVE RULES’. She was the main character and featured actors like Eddie Nartey, Mikki Osei Berko, Martha Ankomah, Naa Ashorkor, Augustine Abbey and Ian Jazzi among others.
