The Amansie West District Assembly has met and briefed members of the Manso Nkwanta Traditional Council on development projects it has embarked upon.
The District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. William Bediako Asante, disclosed that with the support of the management, the assembly is about to complete the construction of a district fire station, which was started by the previous government.
He said the Manso-Nkwanta Theater block and the Manso-Nkwanta Midwifery Training School would soon be completed with additional facilities.
The DCE further disclosed that the new residential block for medical officers would soon be completed to pave way for the District Hospital at Manso-Nkwanta.
The Omanhene of Manso-Nkwanta, Nana Bi-Kusi Appiah II, thanked the District Assembly for the move to give the district capital a face-lift, and urged them to keep it up.
Nana Bi-Kusi Appiah appealed to the District Co-ordinating Director Mr. J. T. Ababio, to be watchful of activities of some of the heads of departments, which are undermining the smooth running of the Assembly.
