Nii Marmon Halm Bosumtwi I, Chief of Kwashieman, has given the power of attorney of his family lands to FA Global Limited, a real estate company.
Therefore, persons or organisations who want to genuinely acquire lands belonging to the Marmon Family at Darkuman, Odorkor, Nyamekye and other surrounding areas that are within the stool lands of Kwashieman, have been advised to deal directly with the real estate developer.
Nii Bosumtwi I, who is a member of the Marmon Halm Family of Asere, entrusted the sale of his family lands to FA Global, after a High Court judgement, delivered by His Lordship Justice Emmanuel Akwasi Mensah in 2015, went in his favour.
The declaration was made in connection with a case between Nii Lartey Akwasie Ahiaku, the Lands Commission and other three, who were the defendants, and him, Nii Marmon Halm Bosumtwi I. The ruling has since stood same.
According to the Chief, the vast track of land that stretches from Darkuman, Odorkor, Nyamekye to the Old Abeka Market, and sharing boundaries with Ofankor, Aworshie, Sowutuom and Akumajin, was purchased by his forebearers from the Asere Stool in 1878.
He, therefore, warned individuals who are using his leniency to illegally sell out his family lands, and, subsequently, hire land guards to terrorise legitimate developers, to cease their criminal deeds.
“Except FA Global Limited, which I have mandated to take over the sales, documentation and development of Marmon Family lands, the public should take precaution so that they do not lose their investments or savings,” Nii Bosumtwi I told The Chronicle in Ashaiman.
He expressed his readiness to assist the police flush out land guards whose activities have been threatening innocent lives in his area.
