Hearts of Oak CEO Mark Noonan has confirmed the contracts of four players including striker Cosmos Dauda have been terminated.
New signings-goalkeeper Theophilus Jackson and defenders Evans Qauo and Joshua Otoo -have also been released.
With the second transfer window opened locally, the dismissed players can sign for clubs in the Ghana Premier League or head abroad when the window opens on 1 June.
Noonan Tweeted: ” I can confirm we have given 4 players, E. Quao, T. Jackson, J. Otoo and C. Dauda, permission to seek opportunities outside of Hearts. They are good men + professionals. With the window open we felt it best to communicate our plans with them directly and transparently.
”We thank them for their service and will work with them throughout this transition period.”
Hearts have been chequered this season after ten matches where they lie 8th with four wins, three draws and four defeats.
In a related development, Cosmos Dauda has disclosed receiving offers from four Ghana Premier League clubs in the ongoing transfer window.
The Nigeran import is a free agent, after mutually terminating his contract with the Phobians last Friday and media reports indicate he may likely join his former coach, Kenichi Yatshuahshi at Inter Allies.
However, the 24-year-old did not reveal the names of the clubs, but bemoaned the manner in which he left the Accra-based giants.
“I have to move on and continue my career elsewhere. As at now there four premier league clubs and two division one clubs chasing for my services,” Dauda told Fox FM.
He was key to Hearts of Oak two seasons ago but has seen his form depreciated leading to incessant goal drought.
