Medeama SC continued with their fine start to the Ghana Premier League as they stopped high flying Dreams FC in Tarkwa, after two late goals ensured they secure all three points at home.
The two times FA Champions began the game on a positive note, when Kwame Boateng was set up by Kwasi Donsu only to miss the glaring opportunity in the fourth minute.
The home side kept pressing but they had to wait until the 16th minute to create another goal scoring chance which was missed again by former Great Olympics striker Kwame Boateng.
Meanwhile, Dreams after gradually warming into the game started to take control of the game, with the brilliant Leonard Owusu and Samuel Bimpong dictating the pace of the game in the middle.
Dreams nearly grabbed the opener after Owusu set up veteran striker Eric Gawu but he fired wide.
However, Medeama seized control again with Bright Enchill, Kwasi Donsu and Justice Blay in dominating the middle of the park.
Both sides went into the half without a goal.
Meadeama returned from the break more determined to take advantage infront of the home crowd as they created chances after chances.
But they had to wait with twenty minutes to end the game when Kwasi Donsu expertly curled into the net for the opener.
The Mauves and Yellow kept asking for more but veteran ex-Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Isaac Amoako was up for the task.
Despite the resilience of Dreams, they could not hold on too long as Eric Kwakwa fired home the second for Medeama.
