botchway April 12, 2018

From Sebastian R. Freiku, Kumasi .
This year’s Annual African Quality Awards, organised by Micjoy Advertising Company, comes off on April 17, 2018 at the Golden Tulip Kumasi City Hotel.
Among the nine award winners slated to be honoured at this year’s event are the First Trust Savings and Loans Financial firm, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Jackson Foundation, Mr. Daniel Adjei Mensah, acting Principal of Offinso College of Education, Nana Adjei Panin, Chief of Deduako near Kuntanase, and Dr. Kwaku Oteng, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Angel Group of Companies.
Michael Nana Ampong, Executive Director of the organising company, said First Trust Bank would be honoured for integrity in the financial market, swift response to loan disbursements, and financial policies.
He said the Minister of Education’s award comes in the face of his role in the effective implementation of the flagship free Senior High School policy of the government, his posture and competence, and being a hard-working Minister of State.
Nana Ampong said Nana Adjei Panin would be exclusively honoured for community development, having provided roads and boreholes for the community from his own resources. According to Micjoy, the Chief’s contribution serves as an encouragement and inspiration to members of the chieftaincy institution to do more for their communities.
The Vice Principal of the Offinso College of Education, currently acting in the capacity of the Principal, receives an award this year at the event for the marked massive transformation championed at the College during the past few months of assumption of office as the acting Principal.
The Jackson Foundation is also specially slated for the awards this year because of the provision financial aid and scholarship scheme intervention programmes to students who are extremely disadvantaged.
Since the inception of the awards six years ago, Micjoy Advertising has organised the annual African Quality Awards event to honour personalities, including ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, former Governor of the Bank of Ghana and ex-Finance Minister, Mr. Jacob A. M. Kor, former Director General of the Ghana Education Service, Dr. John Kudalor, former Inspector-General of Police, and COP Nathanial Kofi Boakye, former Ashanti Regional Police Commander.
