The National Service Scheme (NSS) has deployed a total number of nine thousand, one hundred and nine (9,199) nurses to various hospitals and clinics in the country to serve in their utmost capacities as service personnel.
The deployment forms part of the NSS 2018/19 posting year of personnel to offer their mandatory service in various levels to the country.
Contained in a media statement, the NSS urged all registered service nurses to visit the NSS website: https:/www.NSS.gov.gh to check their placements and proceed to register with the NSS regional Secretariats and user agencies.
This statement comes on the back of rumors making the rounds that some unidentified persons are luring these nurses to pay bribe to enable them get posted to health institutions of their choice.
Meanwhile, the NSS has warned that under its policies there nothing as such paying for ‘special posting’ or collecting fee for posting or engaging any individual or entity on posting.
Service personnel were, therefore, encouraged to report to the police whenever they are approached by such persons.
However, it advised personnel to accept their postings as service to the nation, “Management wishes to urge all Tue posted nurses to accept their placements and consider them as part of their contribution towards building a healthy nation.”
