Hearts to hold crunch meeting with Laryea
Hearts Chief Executive Fred Crentsil will hold showdown talks with Laryea Kingston over his future at the club.
The future of the 30-year-old has been hugely speculated in the local media after he clashed with head trainer C.K. Akunnor. He was sacked from their pre-season camping base at Sekondi for breaking camp rules.
The ex-Ghana star was accused of undermining the authority of coach Akunnor when he refused to adhere to his directive – a move which infuriated the gaffer and resulted in his dismissal from camp.
He drove to the team’s camp in his Four-Wheel Jeep Vehicle, took his own drinking water and mattress – a move which was deemed as a direct contrast to the rules and regulations laid down by the club.
The crunch meeting with Laryes Kingston will go a log way to determine his future at the club. The club is determined to instill high level discipline in the team and will not allow the ego of some players to get in the way of their grand agenda for next season.
It is widely believed a public apology from the player to the coach, his colleagues and fans will be the only way that will calm tempers and retain him in the team.
