Gyan praises Al Ain mates after UAE Super Cup success

Al Ain striker Asamoah Gyan says his team deserve all the accolades coming their way at the moment after wining the UAE Super Cup on Monday.
The league champions beat Al Jazira 5-4 on penalties in the curtain-raiser in Dubai Gyan converted one of the spot-kicks before goalkeeper Dawoud Sulaiman netted before Al Jazira’s Salem Masoud struck the post in sudden death.
The 26-year-old, who completed a permanent move from English side Sunderland after helping Al Ain to win a 10th league title, praised his teammates for their efforts.
“Al Ain are a very united team. This is one side where everybody works together and for each other,” Gyan said after the match.
“There is a lot of sacrifice on and off the field, so when you do this you also deserve every bit of credit that comes your way.
“If you watch the games you will see that players from Al Ain run more than the opponents. ”This comes automatically as every player is willing to help out others in need and do something extra so that the team can
succeed.” Gyan scored a total of 22 goals in all competitions.
