Guy kills 2 kids, stabs pregnant wife

Residents of Sepe Timpom, a suburb of Kumasi, were on Thursday filled with fear and trepidation, after a young man believed to be in his mid-twenties, allegedly killed his two children and stabbed his pregnant wife unconscious.
How Kwadwo Yeboah, aka McCarthy, a 26-year-old unemployed, decided to end the lives of his two beautiful kids and wife is still a mystery to residents in the second class residential area, after the bodies of the two kids and the unconscious mother were found in a room in the family house of the wife.
The grandmother of the deceased kids discovered the dead bodies with their intestines gushing out lying on top of their unconscious mother, with blood all over the room around 8:00 p.m. upon her return from the market,
Miraculously, the wife, Yaa Foriwaa, 26, who is also four months pregnant, survived the gory attack after pretending to be dead, and is currently receiving medical attention at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, whilst the bodies of Abena Adwubi, 4, and Ama Francisca, 2, have been deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
The suspect, currently on the run, was said to have, on several occasions, complained that he could not take care of the children, and threatened to eliminate them from the earth.
He was reported to have constantly fought with his wife, asking her to agree with him so that they could poison the kids and have their freedom, to which the wife disagreed.
However, on Wednesday, McCarthy, who is alleged to be on drugs, decided to execute his threat, after noticing that there was no one apart from his wife inside the family house, where the girl, together with the kids, stays with her mother.
Reports say when McCarthy entered the room on Wednesday afternoon he closed the door, tuned the volume of the television set in the room loud, and committed the heinous crime.
He was reported to have killed the kids first, before stabbing his pregnant wife in the ribs, but fearing for her life, Yaa Foriwaa pretended to be dead and lay motionless.
The suspect, this time thinking that the three were dead, placed the kids on their mother and allegedly attempted to commit suicide with a net sponge in the room.
The mother of Yaa Foriwaa said she returned from the market around 8:00 p.m. and went to her daughter’s room to enquire why she had not cooked dinner, but realised the door was locked.
She said she sought the assistance of neighbours to force the door open, and discovered the three in a pool of blood, with the intestines of the dead kids exposed.
The mother said when she pushed the kids, she realised that Yaa Foriwaa was still breathing, and with the help of neighbours rushed her to hospital, where she narrated to them how the husband killed the kids, and subsequently stabbed her.
Meanwhile, the police at Asawasi have confirmed the incident and said serious investigations were underway to discover the whereabouts of the suspect.
Chief Supt. Nana Kumi, Asawasi Divisional Commander, said preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect attempted to commit suicide, but was unsuccessful.
The mother of Kwadwo Yeboah also said her son had threatened on several occasions to kill her for taking care of the kids and their mother, instead of giving the money to him.
