The local Black Stars begin their four-day camping in Accra today, with an eye on Saturday’s group draw for the next African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Thirty players have been invited by Ghana coach Herbert Addo in the run up to the competition next year.
However, Saturday’s draw in Khartoum, Sudan, would reveal Ghana’s group opponents for the second edition of the competition designed by CAF for only home-based players of its member countries.
The 16 qualified teams including hosts, Sudan, will be housed into four groups of four teams.
Ghana, losing finalists at the maiden competition, qualified with Ivory Coast and Niger from Zone West B.
Other participating sides are: Algeria and Tunisia (Northern Zone); Mali and Senegal (Zone West A); Cameroon, Gabon and DR Congo (Central Zone); Uganda and Rwanda (Central-East Zone); Angola, South Africa and Zimbabwe (Southern Zone).
The tournament takes places from 4-25 February, 2011.
