GH¢300,000 ICT Centre For Oyibi Community

In a bid to bring the teaching and learning of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) to the door steps of students in the Oyibi and its surrounding communities, a ground has been broken for the construction of a GH¢300, 000 ICT centre in Oyibi.

The project is being financed by the Ministry of Communications under a specialized programme. The centre comprises a library and post office, store room, offices and places for convenience.

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, who cut the sod for the commencement of the project, noted that the ICT centre would greatly improved the teaching and learning of ICT among the various schools in the constituency.

Nii Afotey Agbo, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kpone-Akatamanso, was quick to add that the ICT Centre, after completion, will serve the students of the Valley View University which is located in Oyibi.

According to him, the project would also create jobs for the teeming youth in the constituency. Nii Afotey Agbo, therefore, appealed to the people in the community to take good care of the project.

The Managing Director of Kuolug Enterprise Limited, the contractor of the project, Alhaji Hamidu Asaana said with availability of labour his firm could complete the project within the three-month duration.
