Genoa coach blasts Asamoah for ‘diving’

Gigi De Canio has voiced his bitterness towards Juventus, in Genoa’s 3-1 loss over the weekend, labeling Kwadwo Asamoah an actor.

The Grifoni saw their 1-0 lead into the break diminish in the second half as they fell to a 3-1 loss and the coach has blamed Asamoah for the result after he played a role in winning the penalty and assisting in a goal.

“The player [Asamoah] was very good: until he was touched and then it felt as if he almost passed out,” he told Tuttosport.

“Our player with cramps was naïve thinking he could stay [on the field], but it happened like that and its fine like that.”

De Canio went on to recall certain controversial moments in the game as he struggled abate his bitterness of the result.
