…As they face Heartland in the final

Emmanuel Ahadji, the head coach of Ghana’s female hockey medal hopeful, Extinguishers, is sure the ultimate trophy is within their reach, as they cross swords with Nigeria’s Heartland in the final game on Saturday.
No winner emerged when the two crossed swords on Monday, in their keenly contested barren game at the National Hockey Stadium. But Coach Ahaji is optimistic that after he has going back to the drawing to revise his tactics, it will make the difference on Saturday.
“We have played them on many occasions, but winning the trophy for the first time has been the motivation this time,” said coach Ahadji. Today, Niger Flickers will take on Kenya’s Strathmore, while Yobe play Police in the second game of the day.
The last game will see the two Ghanaian sides, Trustees and Golden Sticks battling for supremacy.
