Edmund Copson, now domiciled in the United Kingdom (UK) and formerly of Hearts of Oak, has made an appeal to the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to extend its search to the Hearts of Oak Secretariat.
According to the player, his former employers have enough cobwebs in their outfit that needs to be investigated, he stated on Happy FM yesterday.

The player came under severe criticisms from the club’s faithful via internet, when he declared a few weeks ago, from his UK base that he regretted playing for the Phobians due to the failure to fulfill their part of the financial contract they entered into with the playing body.

He revealed that his former club entered into a financial agreement with the year 2000 squad that won the Champions League and the Super Cup that should they lift the trophy, they will be rewarded with $25,000 cash per player.

Copson noted that so far as he is concerned, he has not received a dime from the Hearts management, and he was sure  players like Jacob Nettey, Amankwah Mireku, Charles Allotey and others  have not received their financial rewards either, because he is in constant touch with them.

“The officials made us sign a document, I have my copy with me. They told us when we win, they will give each player $25,000, its been ten years on but they have failed to honour their word.

“I am not in financial crisis, it is my money and so I have to demand it, that is why am calling on the EOCO officers that went to the FA office last week to do like wise at the Hearts secretariat,” Copson added.

He revealed that he is sure there is a “Big man” in the club’s management who is taking advantage of the players and misappropriating the clubs finances.
