ECOWAS Games: Traditional Wrestling ends tomorrow
The individual prowess of the finals of the Traditional wrestling event will see Ki Alex of Burkina Faso battle it out against Sidy of Senegal in the 60 kg division, as they search for gold at the on-going ECOWAS Games, which is scheduled for Friday, June 22 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ali Kepassimzouwe of Togo will compete for the bronze against Hassan Zakari of Niger. In the 65 kg division, Habibou Idi of Niger clashes with Senegal’s N’diaye Papa Diabel for the gold, while Ninorie Chinonso of Nigeria comes against Moumouni Abdoulaye of Benin for the bronze medal.
In the 70 kg division, Diouf Ibra of Senegal will face Iselekuman Digna of Nigeria for gold, whilst Solamou Roland of Burkina Faso come against Aboubacar Abdoulaye of Niger for the bronze.
In the 75kg division it is a straight fight between Diouna Omar of Senegal and Zon Drissa of Burkina Faso for the gold whilst Kaiyazinao of Togo will contend with Koudio Brou of Cote d’Ivoire.
Laouali Abdou of Niger battles it out with M’baye M’bar of Senegal in the 80kg division whilst Zerbo Eloi of Burkina Faso faces off with Nigeria’s Baba Mohammed for bronze. The finals of the country slot will see Niger against Burkina Faso for first spot, while Senegal wrestle Benin for the third place.
