Dopoah-Dei Heads GREDA
Mr. Kwakye Dopoah-Dei has assumed office as the new President of the executive council for The Ghana Real Estate developers Association (GREDA) with a two-year mandate to steer the affairs of the association having been elected at an Annual General Meeting of the association held in Accra recently.
Mr. Dopoah-Dei, who boasts of several years of industry experience, is the Managing Director of Rivonia Ghana Limited, a real estate developer in Accra specializing in apartment blocks and high rise residential accomodation for the top end of the market.
The new council, which has taken over from the Dr. Alex Tweneboa-led council, has Mrs. Regina Botchwey of Regimanuel Grey as 1st Vice President; Mr. Patrick Ebo Bonful as 2nd Vice President; Mr. Samuel Tenkorang of N.T.H.C. Properties as Treasurer and Mr. Samuel Amegayibor as Secretary.
The rest are Mr. Seth Adu of Devtraco Ltd; Kwabena Nyarko of Buena Vista Homes Ltd; Kojo Koomson of Westbay Properties Limited and Mr David Vanderpuye of Vanderpuye Orgle Limited.
Speaking at the event, the out-going President, Dr. Alexander Tweneboa, who served for six years as the President of GREDA, expressed his profound appreciation to members for the unflinching support given him during his tenure and asked that the same should be accorded his successor.
“Today, GREDA has become stronger and united, thanks to your efforts and contributions and it is my hope that we are going to be even more committed in view of the challenges facing the industry in order that the new executives can take GREDA to the next level”, Dr. Tweneboa said.
Responding, Kwakye Dopoah-Dei assured members of dedication and hardwork to take the association to even greater heights.
“We will bring on board our collective skills and enthusiasm towards the enhancement of the association and the work done by our predecessors”, the new GREDA President said.
Mr. Dopoah-Dei called on all members who are not in good standing to do, and also enjoined other estate developers who are yet to join the association to do so as in numbers lie strength.
The major task of the new executive of the association will be to further strengthen the association in order for it to realise the potential that housing has for the social economic Development of the country.
Dr. Alex Tweneboa now becomes an ex-officio member of the GREDA council.
