On Christmas day 2012, staff of the UT Group, led by their Chairman, Joseph Nsonamoah, went out on the streets of Accra to show love to some of the underprivileged on its streets.

The journey took the group through places like Nima, Graphic Road, Korle Bu, Tudu, etc., and  ended up at the Borstal Institute (now called The Senior Correctional Centre), at Roman Ridge, Accra, where they presented some items including food and drinks to its members.

The programme, called the Chairman’s Christmas Day Outreach programme, was started some years ago to put smiles on the faces of some of these people – at least on Christmas day.

The staff gives up some of their precious Christmas day to help and support this noble gesture.  There is a saying that goes – ‘if you want to show someone you care, give them your time’ – and that is exactly what they did.

The beneficiaries were all smiles and very grateful to have provided them at least with breakfast for the day. In all, 2000 packs of food and drinks were distributed.
