Nineteen year old Cephas Osei became the seventh player to be evicted from the MTN Soccer Academy West Africa in last Sunday’s eviction show.
Cehas was admired by many for his exceptional dribbling skills and calm personality. Head Coach Ibrahim Sunday also described him as “a very hard working player”.
In a brief interview after his eviction, the midfielder was full of gratitude to organizers of the event, Optimum Media Prime, and mobile telecommunication giant MTN- the show’s title sponsors, for giving him what he described as “an uncommon opportunity to discover myself”. The young chap was confident that he would be able to build upon the lessons he has imbibed in the competition to ultimately realize his soccer ambition.
Cephas’ exit leaves seven teammates remaining in the competition, with one more player to be evicted before the grand finale. This Sunday’s showdown would obviously be a night to remember as the faith of the seven would be determined; thus, which of them gets to be among the final six.
