Bola Ray dedicates award to God, fans & listeners


At the just ended second edition of the Globa Radio and Television Personality Awards (RTP Awards), Drive Time on Joy FM won for the Multimedia family the Radio Programme of the Year.

Host of the award winning and most listened to show on radio in Ghana today, affable and eloquent Bola Ray, real name Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye Adisi has dedicated the award to God, fans and loyal listeners of the late afternoon show.

Speaking to GhanaCelebrities.Com on the telephone on Monday, Bola Ray who is the CEO of Empire Entertainment and brains behind the annual concert ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ said “I’m humbled”.

Indeed there wasn’t any better expression than that. “First of all, I want to thank the Almighty God for how far he has brought us. We have been on Joy FM for 9 years and this year, we will be 10 years.”

The award has been long overdue in coming but Bola conceded it has “come at the appropriate time and we [the team] are very excited about it.”

Last year at the maiden edition of the awards, the show won the Best Drive Time Show. Bola said this year; they merited the award because “we have worked hard for it”.

In dedicating the award, a humbled and excited Bola Ray thanked God for their triumph, thanked the loyal listeners who have been following the show over the years. He also extended the thank you message to the entire Drive Time team.
