Ghana’s home-based male senior side have been drawn in Group B of the 2011 African Nations Championship – CHAN set for February next year.
The local Black Stars who would be making their second consecutive appearance at the tournament are paired in the same group with South Africa, Zimbabwe and Niger in the 16-nation competition to be hosted by Sudan.
The group pairings were revealed following Saturday evenings draw in Khartoum, Sudan for the second edition of the competition designed by CAF for only home-based players of its member countries.
The 16 qualified teams were divided into four groups of four teams. Hosts Sudan will face Gabon, Uganda and Algeria in Group A.
Holders DR Congo are in Group C together with Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Mali whilst Senegal, Rwanda, Angola and Tunisia constitute Group D. The tournament takes places from 4-25 February, 2011.FA
