Bekwaihene Fetes 600 KG Pupils

The gesture was to mark the annual Christmas get-to-gather for the children by the chief.
The pupils were drawn from the Central Kindergarten (KG), December 31 Movement KG, Queen Elizabeth, Anglican, Church of Christ, Presbyterian and Methodist schools.
The rest are Victory, Experimental, SD Adventist Preparatory School, St. John Minor, St. Patrick and Islamic schools.
The Adontehenhene, Nana Opoku Ababio, on behalf of the Bekwaihene, presented the items, including drinks, biscuits and sweets, estimated at GH¢2,000 to the children at the ceremony.
The pupils took turns to entertain the chief and his elders with exciting poetry recitals amid merrymaking.
Nana Karikari Appau commended the teachers for their patience and tolerance in the upbringing of the kids, and hoped they would nurture the children to become respectful and useful citizens towards nation building.
He urged the pupils to study hard and be obedient to both parents and teachers.
Ms. Justina Fukus, KG Co-ordinator of the Bekwai Municipal Directorate of the Ghana Education Service, thanked Nana Appau for the gesture, which is seen as a unifying force among the people.
The Municipal Director of Education was represented at the ceremony by Mr. Obeng Amponsah, Public Relations Officer of the Municipal Education Directorate.
