Auto Plaza applauds MTN Soccer Academy W/A

Auto Plaza Limited, one of the leading distributors of the Hyundai brand of vehicles in the country, has lauded the ongoing MTN Soccer Academy Reality Show, describing it as a beacon for sports development in Ghana and Africa.

This came to light, when teammates of the MTN Soccer Academy West Africa paid a familiarisation visit to the management and staff of the company in Accra.

The call was part of the teammates’ weekly visits to sponsors of the show, to express their appreciation to them, and also afford the teammates the privilege of acquainting themselves with their operations.

“We believe that this is one of the most promising platforms to unearth and develop young footballers, not only in Ghana, but across the African continent, and build them into competitive soccer brands,” says Mr. Caleb Cofie, Sales & Marketing Executive of Auto Plaza Limited.

Mr. Cofie also recounted his outfit’s contribution to the development of sports over the years, and pledged their continuous support at building a strong and vibrant society through sports.

The visit also exposed the teammates to the activities of the automobile distributors, and notable among them, was the service centre, where engineers took them through their operations.

Among some of the exercises were the fixing and removing of car engines, fixing of car tyres, and changing of engine oil.

The experience also afforded the teammates the opportunity to try their hands at doing same, as part of their weekly Can-Do-Spirit-Day.

In a short address, the Managing Director of Auto Plaza Limited, Mr. Jihad Hijazi, urged the young footballers to take full advantage of the opportunity to launch a great football career.
Mr. Hijazi also impressed upon them to be mindful of the fact that even though it would be very gratifying to emerge as the winner of the reality show, “what is more important, are the priceless lessons and experiences you gain from the competition.”

Events & Communications Manager of Optimum Media Prime, Ms. Awo Baah-Abankwa, on her part, expressed her outfit’s appreciation to Auto Plaza Limited for their unreserved support to the show since its inception, and implored other corporate institutions to follow this gesture.
