Assembly Woman Provides Water To Four Communities

The Assembly Member for the Kwamoso Electoral Area in the Akuapem North District, Elizabeth Afre, has assured her electorate that the acute water shortage problem affecting parts of the district, and in particular Kwamoso, would be a thing of the past.

According to the young but proactive assembly woman, it gives her much pain whenever she sees her people suffering and battle for sources of water, saying, “I sometimes feel bad when I see people at my own backyard suffering from water crisis.”

She made the disclosure during a short official handing over ceremony of three boreholes constructed by a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) and individuals, through her instrumentality.

They are Bewase, Kwamoso, Safro and Nyensisa, all communities within her area.

Apart from the provision of water, the hard working Akuapem North Assembly Member has also facilitated various social and educational interventions for schools such as the Safro District Assembly D/A Primary to benefit from educational materials, including laptops, desktop computers, and text books among others.

The electoral area, whose residents are predominantly farmers, is not left out of the nationwide electrification projects, as every household enjoys electricity.

Elizabeth Afre mentioned that as far as she remained the Assembly Member for the area, she would work assiduously to ensure that the entire area is provided with potable water and other amenities to improve theliving standard.

The young Assembly Member has further called on the electorate for effective collaboration to help bridge the development lapses in the area.
