Asanteman Council resumes sitting today

 by Sebastian R. Freiku

The Asanteman Council would resume sitting after a long break to determine a number of cases which have stalled over the years.

With the formal opening of the Council last Monday, the determination of the Adansi Stool Affairs takes centre stage over three days from today.

According to official sources close to the Council, other cases tabled for determination by the Council include Essumeja, Kumawu, Ofuman, Akrodie and Juaso.

Manhyia Palace sources indicated that Asanteman Council had resolved to determine all cases diligently to ensure lasting peace in those areas.

The Ashanti File gathered that the Council, presided over by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is poised to do justice to all cases before it, and that any chief who dared to stand in the way of progress in settling disputes, would not be tolerated.
