Ajumako Eshiem gets new chief
The residents of Ajumako Eshiem in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiah District has got a new Chief after years absence of a traditional ruler, as they have installed Mr. Daniel Darkoh Turckson, a worker of the Ghana Highways Authority (GHA), as their new leader.
Mr. Turckson now has Nana Nkum II as his stool name, and the 50 year-old chief has the vision of improving the education standards in the town, as he has instituted a scholarship scheme to assist needy but brilliant pupils pursue higher education.
Nana Nkum II, however, called for total support from his subjects to move the town forward, and also appealed to Ghanaians to ensure peaceful elections in December.
