The Accra International Conference Centre roared with praise last Wednesday, when the world-acclaimed gospel singer, Cece Winans, took the stage alongside our local gospel artistes to praise and worship God.
Initially, many believed the show would be a flop, because it was scheduled on a night of a working day instead of a weekend, whereas, some were also of the view that the GH¢40 rate was expensive.
However, the high turnout of patrons at the theatre proved all critics wrong, as so many were the people at the venue that the organisers had to call for more seats.
It turned out to be a night of not only worship, but preaching, as the guest artiste, Cece, sang and ministered to her audience, using her life testimony as inspiration for her message.
Thus, it was no surprise when former president Jerry John Rawlings, Danny Nettey, and Mary Ghansah – gospel artistes, the Volta River Authority (VRA) Chief Executive Officer, Kweku Andoh Awortwi, Mr. Charles Cofie of Unilever, hip-life artiste Nana Boroo, and several others applauded with excitement at her ministrations.
The likes of Cecilia Marfo, Soul Winners, No Tribe, Willie and Mike, just to mention a few, also made Ghanaians proud, when they mounted the stage.
It was obvious that every step of the concert and performances was laced with manifestations of the word and strong biblical preaching, it was no doubt the spirit of the most high was in attendance.
With barley a few weeks to the end of the year, there was no better way to thank the Lord than the worship that was organised, congratulations to Cece and her band for coming to Ghana.
